THE SPLENDOR OF THE GARDEN ROUTE

The Garden route and the Great and Little Karoo

This tour brings you close to the natural beauty of the South coast. The routing may be modified for hot spring or wine tasting enthusiasts. Whale watchers have the best time between July and November. This tour can also depart from Cape Town.

Day 1 - Port Elizabeth to Plettenberg Bay
Depart Port Elizabeth to the Tsitsikamma.Overnight in a Plettenberg Bay guesthouse.

Day 2 - Plettenberg Bay to Prince Albert
We pass through the lake district of Knysna and Wilderness. On to Oudtshoorn where we visit an ostrich farm and the world famous Cango Caves. After crossing the scenic Swartberg Mountains we arrive at a in Prince Albert for the night.  (http://www.saxecoburg.co.za/)

Day 3 - Prince Albert to Franschhoek
After a city tour of Prince Albert the Great Karoo receives us. Along typical mountain ranges of this semi-desert region we find the oasis of Matjiesfontein. Our overnight stay will be at an historical guesthouse situated in the wine lands. 

Day 4 - Franschhoek to Cape Town
We continue through to the oldest city of South Africa, Stellenbosch. Visit the village museum before reaching Cape Town and the Bloubergstrand for a spectacular view of Table Mountain. Tour ends.
